Vac-Ex Mini Dry Air Excavation Systems

Vacuum Excavation using compressed air is a method of the exposure of buried utilities.

Vac-Ex tracked, air vacuum excavation units are ideal for safe exposure of buried and sometimes live utilities that could be damaged by more traditional means such as mini-diggers or shovels. As well as being non-destructive the air vacuum excavation process has a very unique property in that it can excavate very narrow and deep holes or trenches – 2 metres deep by 90mm wide can be easily achievable in under 5 minutes – ground dependent.

The soil removal process is fast and can effectively save between 4 – 5 times the time taken to hand dig. Vac-Ex units are tracked and come in different sizes, shapes and weights to suit the job at hand. Units are mobile can vary from 250kg – 32,000kg each offering a different solution to the customers’ requirements.
