Treesplus seize on an opportunity to increase business

A chance meeting between John Selten owner of Trees Plus and Youngman Richardson & Co Ltd‘s at last years NZ Fieldays convinced the Taupo based arborist that a business opportunity was there for the taking. The result is that John and his business support Janet Taylor have recently taken possession of a Spider PB18.90 Lift and purpose built trailer.

Last year I was looking at the prospect of growing the business, says John Selten. I had been checking out elevated work platforms for sometime and realised that extra height offered by the Spider PB18.90 would be unique for the area and provide a point of difference. John is using the Spider PB18.90 for work in his own company but has gone one step further with the launch of a new hire business venture, Access Plus.

Apart from the support he has received from Youngman Richardson & Co Ltd, John has been very impressed with the Spider PB18.90. What appeals to him is its ability to access tight spaces.

With its huge outreach, yet super compact dimensions there will be nowhere in the Taupo area that the Spider Lift can’t go. The extra long four stabilizer legs make it ideal for steep terrain, difficult to access building applications and tall, hard to prune trees. A variable track width provides additional stability when the Spider Lift is in motion. Benefits for the operator include superior noise reduction and greater visibility.

One of the features of the Spider Lift for Tree Plus and future customers of Access Plus is how easily the EWP reduces down once the tracks are retracted to a super compact size. The lightweight Spider Lift is simply transported on a custom built trailer.
