Ammann appoints Youngman Richardson NZ distributor
The Ammann Group has recently appointed Youngman Richardson & Co Ltd exclusive New Zealand distributor for the Ammann range of compaction equipment. The appointment is effective immediately and the company will stock and service a range of products from 1.5 tonne tandem and combination rollers through to single drum model earth compactors.

With the introduction of the new distribution arrangement for Ammann comes the announcement of the key products in the line up. Foremost amongst these are the light vibratory tandem roller and the articulated tandem roller.
The Ammann ARX Tandem Vibratory roller is the only tandem roller in the 1.5 to 2.5 tonne class that offers full-flush compaction on the right and on the left sides as well as dual drum vibrate. With no drum supports to obstruct compaction work up against curbstones and walls means that there is no need for subsequent compaction with smaller machines. Other features include easy engine access, foldable ROPS for easy transport, road lighting, pressurised sprinkler systems, central lifting points and two scrapers per drum as standard. These models can also all be configured to combination type with rubber rear tyres instead of the drum.
Ammann AV Tandem Rollers were developed to meet the demand of today€s road building projects worldwide to compact asphalt sub-layers and wearing courses as well as gravel and soil. The unique design reflects the combination of high-performance compaction and operator-safety and comfort. This includes an optimum view of the drum surface, a clearly arranged dashboard, adjustable steering wheel and seat and protection through integrated ROPS/FOPS.
Now here€s something different. The Rammax 1510 and 1515 Skid Steered and articulating Walk Behind Trench Rollers have been developed for various applications on heavy terrains. Two different working widths and drum profiles allows for perfect compaction even on heavy cohesive soils. Thanks to solar charging of the IR-Transmitter, the machines are always ready for operation from the remote control. The remote control is programmed only to operate when the operator is out of the safety zone. The standard version includes manual controls as well as cable if the need arises.
The Ammann ASC Light Single Drum is an exceptional piece of machinery. The 3 models RW1805, RW1815, RW3005 and RW5005 are in the range of between 2 to 5 tonnes. Heavy-duty design and the powerful dozer blade offer “2 machines in one” – material spreading and compaction. Extraordinary safety, excellent compaction performance and modern design guarantee high efficiency and best results even under the most arduous working conditions. High compaction quality with a low number of compaction runs provides the best economic benefit to the user.
